is seeking aMissile Systems Engineer or Senior Missile Systems Engineer(Staff Associate)position in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Integrated Combat Systems Department (V) and the Missile Defense Agency.
Job location is Dahlgren, King George, VA.
Mandatory Requirement:
Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret clearance level.

Originally established in 1918 as a naval proving ground for testing gun weapon systems, NSWC Dahlgren Division has evolved to focus on advances in technology in Warfare Systems Development and Integration.
The NSWC Dahlgren Division is a leading research, development, testing, and engineering (RDT&E) organization within the Department of the Navy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide SM-3 SE and analysis support to the NSWCDD Integrated Combat Systems Department (V Dept) in support of the Missile Defense Agency.
Develop engineering specifications, capability description documents and performance specifications.
Provide review and recommendations on combat systems integration and missile technical issues.
Provide SME support to flight test events/failure review boards with review, analysis and reports.
Conduct risk management and assessments.
Review requirements traceability and analysis.
Provide technical assessments, evaluations, and analysis on system problems.
Success for working in this position requires:
Minimum10 years US Navy Surface Warfare combat experience systems/platform/missile engineering experience with carriers, DDGs, CGs, LCS, large deck, smaller amphibious ships or land based test sites forSystems Engineers.
Minimum15 yearsUS Navy Surface Warfare combat experience systems/platform/missile engineering experience with carriers, DDGs, CGs, LCS, large deck, smaller amphibious ships or land based test sites forSenior Systems Engineers.
Standard Missile (SM)-3 engineering experience is amust (experience with SM3 IIA variant preferred).
Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, handle complex assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education and
Experience:
BA, supporting systems engineering, software engineering, or significant analyst experience is always a plus.
Two (2) years experience' with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
