Overview Human Resources Business Partner(HR-2023-19114-F):
UIC Government Services/Bowhead is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner capable of exercising independent discretion and judgment in support of various HR functions.
Responsibilities The Human Resources Business Partner will collaborate with employees, operations leadership, and other human resources personnel to carryout effective human resources support and programs.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Perform a variety professional and administrative level tasks in multiple functional areas including but not limited to compliance and legislation adherence, policy development, employee relations, compliance, employee systems/maintenance, benefits, and leave administration.
Provide guidance to employees, managers and business leaders relative to Company/HR policies, procedures, and programs; ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and corporate policies and guidelines Ensure compliance and provide guidance on the Service Contract Act to employees, managers, and business leaders Lead employee relations matters including diagnosing problems, determining appropriate level of corrective action, coaching managers, and reviewing corrective action documentation to mitigate risk and minimize legal action.
Manage leave administration to include tracking leave requests and ensuring compliance under the Family Medical Leave Act, American with Disability Act and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act.
Act as primary POC for employees and managers on assigned contracts and provide excellent customer service with a focus on responsiveness Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience in Human Resources.
Additional HR experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Prior experience supporting over 600 domestic employees in a dispersed multi-state environment on complex employee relation matters Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with all levels of employees.
Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be familiar with FMLA, ADA, USERRA, FLSA, and general employment laws.
Must have prior HRIS/ATS experience.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
In order to receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Preferred Experience/
Qualifications:
Experience working in Government Contracting, to include experience with the Service Contract Act (SCA).
Experience with UltiPro/UKGPro human capital management system.
Experience with iCIMS applicant tracking system.
HR certification, through SHRM or HRCI Target salary range is $70-90k commensurate with experience Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check.
Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required.
Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
