ObjectiveResponsiveTrustedThe Space and Intelligence Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASAOur work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needsPRKK a wholly owned subsidiary of SPA, helps to ensure unity-of-effort in space, cyber, and special operations support to theater warfighters, US government and civil agencies, and commercial and foreign partnersSPA/PRKK has an immediate need for a highly qualified JWAC Mid Level Acquisition Support Responsibilities PRKK, an SPA group is seeking a highly qualified and motivated journeyman acquisition specialist to support the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) which provides the Combatant Commands (COCOMs), U.SStrategic Command (USSTRATCOM), and the Joint Staff with effects-based, precision targeting options for selected networks and nodes in order to carry out the national security and military strategy of the United States during peace, crisis, and warThis position supports acquisition management for JWAC, which is located at the Naval Support Activity - South Potomac (NSA-SP) base located in Dahlgren, Virginia (VA)The successful candidate will provide Acquisition Support to conduct acquisition planning activities for current and future programs in accordance with Federal, DoD, Air Force and JWAC laws regulations, policies, directives and instructionsPosition Description Duties associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
o Independently perform all acquisition support functions from cradle to grave for a given mission critical program.o Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.o Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client specific or mission critical challenges/issues.o Execution of existing programs and the development of new acquisition initiatives.o Assist the government acquisition by ensuring that projects are in conformance with current DoD directives (i.e5000 and 8000 series) and the Milestone Decision Authority approved baseline as shown in the project's Acquisition Program Baseline document.o Provide acquisition management support to the planning, organizing, managing critical aspects of the engineering, development, production and/or deployment of systems and equipment.o Support project actions and activities to include meetings, vendor performance tracking, milestone planning, briefing preparation, staff coordination, risk management and decision document preparation.o Support to the development of ongoing and crucial core protection competencies that advance specific projects/activities (including cyber) to deliver comprehensive, economical and actionable solutions for both programmatic and operational domains.o Assist the government acquisition manager in the identification of solutions to balancing near-term results with long-term acquisition, architecture and strategic objectives.o Assist the government acquisition manager by drafting reports on research and findings for the Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), Functional Managers (FM), and senior JWAC decision-makersFor program reviews and joint program reviews, assist with drafting procedures and formats for the IPTs to use.o Assist in the preparation of Program Management Directives (PMD), Initial Capabilities Document (ICD), Capability Development Documents (CDD), Capability Production Documents (CPD), Combat Capability Documents (CCD) and Program Management DocumentsQualificationso Bachelor's Degree with 24 credits in Business Admin, Public Admin, Finance or Accountingo Requires 3-10 years of relevant experience with Air Force acquisition processes, procedures and functions.o Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products, to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.o Top Secret, SCI/SAP eligible clearance required (SSBI/Tier 5 within the last six years) Recommended Skills Acquisition Processes Analytical Architecture Communication Cost Modelling Finance Apply to this job.
