## SUMMARY
## The Systems Engineer will provide support in a variety of areas. These include hands on assembly of equipment into commercial and MIL racks, cabling components, aiding in the design and fabrication of necessary hardware and testing of completed racks. The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Aid in the development and fabrication of equipment associated with engineering initiatives projects.
Aid in the assembly and wiring of cabinets/units that are the commercial equivalent of shipboard cabinets/units.
Must be mechanically inclined and proficient with a wide variety of common tools.
Responsible for documenting all work performed providing concise, accurate and sufficient detail, ensuring the information is detailed and accurate.
Responsible for utilizing all applicable safety and security procedures.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The Tactical Systems Engineer shall have 8 years general tactical weapon system experience which includes 3 years of Aegis specific experience.
The Tactical Systems Engineer shall have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
The ability to work independently and complete a substantial body of work.
Ability to accept and respond to new emergent and unique project task requirements.
Ability to present ideas clearly and succinctly both in writing and verbally to co-workers, team members, internal department groups and personnel as well as outside entities to include other departments.
Ability to use a variety of office automation software, i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. to accomplish technical and support work.
