Join AMERICAN SYSTEMS as we grow our footprint at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren. To help fuel the growth of our employee-owner team in Dahlgren, VA, we are looking for technical professionals with a broad range of knowledge and experience. Our team needs your experience in project management, maintenance, engineering, operations, and research and development to help expand our customer-centric support in this growing business area.
As part of our technical team, you will work in a project driven environment, responding to client directed priorities. As such, your technical expertise will be tested on a regular basis. We are committed to building a team that will deliver high quality products that meet customer goals for both technical content, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking degreed engineering professionals at all levels of experience. If you have a Bachelor's Degree and less than 4 years of experience or a PhD and more than 15 years of experience, we want to hear from you. These positions can be supported by degrees in engineering, physics, mathematics, or materials science. Your knowledge of specific technologies such as lasers, electro-optics, infrared, RF, radar, pulsed power, directed energy and software as it relates to aircraft, avionics, missile and weapon systems will be the critical difference in designing, developing, fabricating, and testing solutions that can support mission needs of our client. You must be able to document your results using drawings, diagrams, and/or schematic capture tools. You can be expected to communicate your work through operation and system reviews, technical interchange meetings, technical and status reviews, and potentially user conferences.

Job Requirements
Bachelorss degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or materials science
A minimum, of a secret clearance is required
Demonstrate commitment to excellence
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent technical acumen with desire to excel in a challenging environment
Customer Service focus
Ability to work within one of our dedicated teams and also be able to work independently.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
