Sr. Mechanical Engineer -- Contingent

Job Description:
Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services, Inc. is currently looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to works as part of a team to support NSWCDD and:
Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
Perform all aspects of laboratory and field testing, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data and analyzing results.
Produce specifications for, design, development, manufacturing and installation of new or modified mechanical components or systems.
Produce technical reports on findings, provides system data collection and analysis, and conducts technical documentation reviews.
Report critical findings to military and DoD civilian leadership.
Participate in technical and programmatic meetings, supports integrated product teams, develops and presents briefings.
Experience and Skills:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts,practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.
Demonstrated abilities to interface with the Navy/Marines/Joint to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical publications.
Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience working as a mechanical engineer.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have active DoD Secret clearance at time of contract award.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
