CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (E20-18-0099-F)
Bowhead seeks a Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. The Configuration Management Specialist will support the software configuration management (CM) environment, software release and change control, version control, software
library, CM plans and documentation along with providing support to the Configuration Control Board. The CM Specialist is responsible for all assigned tasks in areas of configuration management using database tools necessary to support version and change control.
Essential duties include:
â ¢ Designing and establishing configuration management documentation.
â ¢ Authorizing the release of drawings and changes specified by Program Management and other functional groups and may be called upon to act as a liaison between Program Management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis
documentation.
â ¢ Providing advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.
â ¢ Evaluating change documentation and developing impact assessments for planned configuration changes.
â ¢ Maintaining integrity and traceability of configurations throughout its life cycles.
â ¢ Planning and implementing methods to improve response and participating in special studies.
Requirements
â ¢ BA/BS is required in addition to a minimum of four (4) years relevant experience of which three (3) years must be specialized in configuration management.
â ¢ Demonstrable skills and knowledge of configuration management principles, methods, and techniques.
â ¢ Experience with formal Change Control Boards related to ECPs, SCNs, SCDs, Deviations and Waivers is required.
â ¢ Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs is required.
â ¢ Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
â ¢ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
â ¢ Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
