Staff Systems Engineer 2

We're currently seeking a full-time Systems Engineer with Program Protection Plan (PPP) experience to support one of our U.S. Navy contracts in Fredericksburg, VA. This position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. The successful applicant will work in direct support of a Navy Program Management office assisting the Government with assembling, development and review of program documentation including Program Protection Plans, System Attack/Countermeasure Trees, Anti-Tamper Requirements Documents, Anti-Tamper Plans, Key Management Plans, and Anti-Tamper Verification ,Validation Plans and/or other acquisition program experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Candidate will provide program guidance support for system security engineering to include hardware assurance, cyber security, and Anti-Tamper. This includes technical input and feedback on proposed solutions, review of the technical documentation supporting the design and implementation of the solution, and providing risk assessments
Must be able to complete multiple tasks with limited supervision
Have excellent communication skills with appropriate internal and external contacts
Conduct business and communicate with clients in a highly professional manner
Work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects with evolving requirements
Manage personal schedule, complete assigned tasks on time and document billing time to clients accurately
Basic Qualifications:
Must hold an Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or Mathematics)
DAU ACQ 160.
Must have experience and a demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders to develop Program Protection Plans (PPPs) in accordance with DoD instructions and processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical publications and reports.
Familiarity with DoD roles and missions, and organizational structure
Ability to manage and prioritize numerous concurrent assignments
Organized individual, with prioritization and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, especially research skills
Applicant must be able to function in a team-oriented environment and to interact professionally with employees and management at all levels
Experience:
Must have previous experience in and a demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders to develop Program Protection Plans (PPPs) in accordance with DoD instructions and processes. Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical publications and reports.
Five (5) years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation.
Two (2) years of experience in theoretical and practical aspects of specifying, designing, implementing, and managing systems that possess qualities such as portability, scalability, and interoperability related to systems security engineering.
Two (2) years of experience working with system engineering, requirements management, and architecture tools such as CORE, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, DOORS, and executable UML. This includes experience in the development of DoD Architectural Framework (DoDAF) products including Operational Views (OV) and Operational Sequence Diagrams
Proficiency with DoD roles and missions, and organizational structure
Substantial skills and knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Innovative and fresh thinking with a 'can do' attitude
Ability to manage and prioritize numerous assignments
Organized individual, with prioritization and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, especially interviewing skills
He/she must be able to function in a team-oriented environment and be able to interact professionally with employees and management at all levels.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
