Job Description: The successful candidate will support the development and integration of Command and Control software for, primarily CAC2S, and other UNS/USMC Command and Control programs, and provide senior level Linux system administration support including extensive troubleshooting abilities. The successful candidate will provide Advanced Command and Control software and systems engineering, and test and evaluation support to the CAC2S program at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren.
Job Responsibilities:
Verification of requirements and assist in developing a disciplined software/systems engineering process to achieve a formal assessment of Command and Control systems, specifically the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S).
Define and/or develop models and/or tools designed to further analyze capability issues and assist in the refinement of CAC2S assessment measures/metrics, and assist in the characterization of CAC2S capability through the development of software, and the review and analysis of data from test events including but not limited to, documentation review, requirements analysis, functional decomposition and allocation, functional and physical architecture review.
Software development and software engineering tasks for combat control and command and control projects (tactical and non-tactical code). This includes the development of software, component level and unit and integration tests, analysis tools and scripts, and software models or testbeds to conduct combat/command and control experiments.
Develop, maintain, and follow the software development and configuration management processes defined by each combat control/command and control project.
Install and maintain combat/command systems and other related systems software at the Software Integration Lab (SIL) and at other land based test facilities and platforms as required/requested.
Provide software and system engineering and operational support to the NSWCDD Laboratory facilities.
Provide the expertise to assist in the design, development, integration and testing of software solutions for the individual systems in the designated labs.
Ensure interoperability with the various systems within labs and with similar systems located at other Continental United States (CONUS) facilities.
Assist with efforts to incorporate models and simulations into the laboratories and other sites, facilities, and platforms as required.
Preparing point papers, information status reports, technical reviews/reports and presentations.
Maintaining configuration information and planning/operational aids such as schedule or milestone charts (using various applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and in various forms such as hardcopy (black and white and color), viewgraphs and electronic formats and attend Progress Reviews Program Reviews and Joint Reviews or other meeting and reviews and record minutes and action items and distribute.
Establish and maintain a Quality Control Program for all products/data generated under this contract which will ensure quality and consistent products.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience or equivalent experience 6 years with no degree.
Experienced with virtualization as well as system deployment.
Possess significant troubleshooting skills (10+ years as a system administrator on Linux systems).
Familiarity with scripting languages
Experience (3+ years) with Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC), the GCCS family of systems, as well as AFATDS and other USN/USMC tactical command and control systems as needed/specified.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
