Shipping and Receiving Clerk, Lead

Bowhead is seeking a Lead Shipping and Receiving Clerk to provide security administration, access control and escorting support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) located in Dahlgren, VA. NSWCDD provides comprehensive and dedicated support to the Navy of research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems and fleet support; and continues to provide the military with testing and certification by utilizing its Potomac River Test Range in Dahlgren, VA.
The Lead Shipping and Receiving Clerk should be knowledgeable on Navy processes to include: building and documentation support, personnel security, information security, physical security and anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP), emergency management, operations security (OPSEC), electronic keying, classified control, international security, special security, general security, courier operations, classified disposal, mail processing, lock and key control, administrative security, and data management. Experience with software applications, including those that are unique to the Navy (e.g., Lenel Enterprise Control/Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Scattered Castles and Joint Personnel Adjudicating System (JPAS), Live Scan Guardian, Classified Information Management System (CIMS), Defense Travel System (DTS), and Security Information Management System (SIMS) software) is critical.
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk handles transmission, receipt, tracking, and distribution of classified material per DOD/DON policies. Responsible for coordinating and expediting flow of classified material.

RequirementsRequires successful combination of education and experience necessary to execute the routine responsibilities of the above outlined position.
Requires four (4) or more years' of experience in classified control.
Requires experience in the transmission, receipt, tracking, and destruction of classified and unclassified material per DOD/DON policies.
Requires experience scheduling personnel and providing guidance to personnel in classified control environment.
Requires experience and ability to use a classified management database to track classified material.
Experience should demonstrate skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Requires ability to communicate effectively orally and through written reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL: Steel toed shoes/boots are required in construction areas.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. Interim Secret clearance may be acceptable prior to start date on a case by case basis. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. Will be subject to a Top Secret SCI security clearance investigation (Tier 5 adjudication).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
