Shipping and Receiving Clerk

SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK (IWSL 18-1793-W)
Bowhead Seeks a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping unclassified and classified material and receiving incoming shipments.
In performing day-to-day, routine tasks, follows established guidelines. In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials. May direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling material to be shipped or being received.
Shipping duties typically involve the following: Verifying material against documents; insuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles; and preparing and keeping records of material shipped.
Receiving duties typically involve the following: Verifying material against shipping documents, storage receipts, or other records; insuring that materials are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment; preparing and keeping records of material received.
Requirements??? Requires one (1) year of experience processing or handling classified documents and/or computer media; High School diploma required
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
