Pulsed Power Engineer

Job Description Job Number: R0038981 Pulsed Power Engineer Key Role: Conduct a variety of engineering tasks for the development, test and evaluation, operation, and maintenance of candidate technologies and components capable of contributing to a pulsed power subsystem. Implement methodologies to ensure the effective integration of pulsed power subsystems to the total system. Leverage expertise in a variety of technical fields, including electrical, software, mathematical, and scientific specialties. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments and contribute to the advancement of industry knowledge in the area of expertise. Solve the most complex technical problems of critical importance to the organization's technical direction. Perform as an expert in the field, leading the development and implementation of key technologies for the organization. Basic Qualifications: -5+ years of experience with professional technical work in Navy or Joint Services experimental research or systems engineering programs -5+ years of experience with sensors and systems in the regimes of Radio Frequency (RF) systems, Pulsed Power, High Power Microwaves (HPM), or other scientific fields -Experience with DoD acquisition guidelines, including DoD 5000 series -Experience with systems development of weapon systems, commercial infrastructure, including electric power and communications, and conceptual and prototype designs, including requirements definition and functional decomposition -Experience with developing use-case scenarios, derived requirements, operational views, performance requirements, and traceability -Ability to work both independently and across a very dynamic, disparate, and multi-disciplinary team, including with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers -Secret clearance -BS degree in Science or Engineering Additional Qualifications: -Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE), including engineering data analysis to develop DoDAF products to develop systems that enable transition to Program of Record (PoR) -Experience with advanced weapon systems and aiding development from Milestone A through to transition and acquisition -MSdegree in Science or Engineering preferred

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
